Picture a child's embrace

A smile upon their gleaming face

Can you see within?

A soul beneath the skin?

Now smile just to hide the pain

We long for that time again

To feel a sense of worth

Our place upon the earth

That we had made

That you took away

When you sailed upon the ocean waves

And turned men into slaves

You degrade your fellow man

To serve your selfish plan

Now we're in the poorest place

Feels like a losing race
