Some Kind of Miracle

She had dark hair

She was five foot six

She said she had some demons

I was ready for it

She was selfless

She was so carefree

She said she's 21 but going on 33

She was something

Like I've never seen

The only place I've seen her

Was inside my dreams

I was helpless

Head over heels

She was vibrant

Like a midsummer rain

I saw the strength inside her struggles

And beauty in her pain

She was caring

Everyone else came first

Even on her bad days when she would feel her worst

She's a symphony

Played with care

Her heart was full of melody

Her soul full of flair

I was helpless

Head over heels

And I see those eyes inside my dreams

I can't fight this new feeling

She is some kind of miracle

One would have to see to believe

Fast forward

Its been three years now

And we'll be writing out this book until our pages run out

And I must say

One thing you have shown

You were the missing piece

To make this old house a home

Lets keep writing

In this book full of gold

With pages to be written, our story to be told

I'm still helpless

I'm head over heels

And I see those eyes inside my dreams

I can't fight this new feeling
