You were so tired

Yelling goodbye for the last

I was so high

I stopped 20 yards shy of that stop sign

Jumping out the Tahoe

Before I convince you not to let go

And I’m running scared again

Without you to clean my conscience or the blood off my chin

Caught me on my last break

Shot me down on Clark’s Creek

I wouldn’t do it over again

Died with a round in my back .38 in my hand
