Too Much Too Soon

Last time I walked in this room

didn't want to wrongly assume

could have sworn there was more light

thorns were out they were bristling

didn't know how much I was risking

didn’t mean to pick a fight

It's been hard to remember

did I choose to surrender

wholly lost my sight

felt my skin start to crawl

didn’t have the wherewithal

could we just make it right

Still warm from the glow
