Go Get Her

I don't let the grass grow beneath the boots on my feet

And I take life by the horns before it gets the best of me

They say I'm a real go-getter

Whatever the situation

But this time I'm not too sure I lived up to my reputation

If I'm a go-getter, then why didn't I go get her

She put it in drive, drove out of my life and I just let her

I know a million things right now I should have done better

It's like my legs were paralyzed from the shock of it all

With a deer in the taillight stare, this go-getter let her get gone

There wasn't a single thing I could think to say or do to stop 'goodbye'

She had her mind made up, and now the only thought in my mind
