I Had Plans

I had plans to write a book

With nothing to say

According to my T.V

All the good stories are taken

And all the choices I'm making

Leave me feeling a little less than sure

I'm just here to follow the leader

I had plans to take you home

But the rent's too high

When all there is, to do is die

What's the use in healing?

And all the lines that I'm stealing

Seem to think there is no cure

One day your eyes will realize

There are no surprises in a world like this

I had plans to laugh it off and learn to love the dream

But I'm a fool for distraction
