بدرب الشمس، في طريق، الم مكتوب

طيور الأمس، فيها تعود، لأرض النور

كل يلي راحوا، راجعين

I miss the days when my grandma was making A'acoub (عقوب)

They took everything that we own , bas kullo mahsoub (بس كله محسوب)

My heart frozen over, I'm praying inshallah bi doob (انشالله بدوب)

My grandmother sat on the stoop, with her feet in the water

I had a dream that one day I'd see a free Falasteen with my daughter

Freedom is God-given, and I know it was all written in a metaphor

The heavens await, but I'ma be late

I'm patient, I know what we're destined for

Freedom forevermore

Born and raised in the Gaza Strip

Forever my paradise

When life is a gamble

And I've never even owned a pair of dice

I think of my loved ones

And my family that sacrificed

So I wrote this verse on the moon, maktoub

Take a breath

The day that I left, my grandmama gave me this rosary

May God rest his soul, but I know she know wherever I'm going, it's close to me

I look around at the world and I pray 'cause I know this is not what it's supposed to be

I miss Falasteen and the scenery

That's why I speak of the thievery

Till all of my people free
