I have brought my questions to the Lord

With the little bit of silence I can afford

So many days of struggle with my faith

I’d beg and plead “God, please show me Your way.”

He brought me from the evil of that place

And gave me redeeming grace

My former life saw me haughty and proud

Built on shifting sand and broken vows

It all came crashing down before my eyes

I dwelt so long in darkness until the day I saw the light

Depraved and defiant and desperately losing control

Til He came and saved my soul
