I had a vision

Bout my decisions

Reflections on this lake water that I live in

Was unguided, uninvited

Wanted to scream it from the valley

‘Stead I write it

It’s no illusion, this evolution

The pain permeates

But I can’t refuse that

The water’s healing, I’m still breathing

So this is how you grow a flower full of meaning

Teach me to find all my blessings inside

Teach me to stand on my own

Teach me to thank all the floods and the rain

The hard things we rose through are now harmless
