Well Worn Shoes

Here I am, the shape of a man 

Gray and brown, wearing down 

In my well worn shoes 

There you are, my bright star 

Shining light, all the night 

With me, win or lose 

 

Here I stand on warm Southern sands 

And I wonder, how long will I roam? 

Mile after mile, so far from home 

 

Morning news, the things we choose 

Some regret, what is left
