Beerless Fiesta

Last night it was not

Something of a beerless fiesta,

something like a sober hot-spot

To my body and mind

I have been unkind

There's no cure for me today

Pain is all I'll feel

 

I'm never gonna drink again

Poor old liver has taken a beating

Though it's hard to comprehend

I'm telling you it's true

I should have been taking better care of me

And not get wasted every evening

So I'm never gonna drink again

The way I used to do

 

Today the whole world it seems so loud

It feels as if my brain comes out

Maybe it's better this way

I've hurt my body with the drinks yesterday

We used to be so good together,

Beer and me, in love forever

But now, what am I gonna do

Tell me
