Staved my side on shoals in life

My timbers break in the rock's embrace

The first embrace in years

All of my works and splendours claimed

Swept by her cold, unyielding rage

I cannot hang on

Fall back into her arms

Only peace I've known, far below the waters

Of which I've dreamed

A moments reprieve

In the crashing black

Leave my bones to rust, gifts to the deep

Every rebirth feels like a death

This night, not the first or last

My ruins I keep, time past unseen

Still the watchtower dark

Has made my purpose clear

I'll strike a light to guide you through

Until she calls me home
