Baby Squid

Slide back into madness

Like it's ice or baby squid

Carrying on with the loud old men

Down I go again

Well, my lady, she treated me to surprises

She used to feed our precious things to the mouth of a fire

Wet hose never seemed to wanna come along

And petrol kept dousing my bed

Burnt out, I'd lay dead

Through the passages of my slime

I slip a finger through the cracks

It's a big sting when the old girl finally rips away

Leaves you no good bleeding down that hole again

Into the drink, my friend

Be still, sweet heart

I feel you beating so hard

These hands of mine

Been holding on to this so tight

So buy up all of your comforts

And go out on a Wednesday night

Carrying on with the old men grown

Over the hill you go
