Way To Get Out

I never said that I was a rolling stone

Cause I'm still trudging through the mud

Every time I pack to leave

Like a beggar on my knees

I end up with a mouth full of blood

I can't seem to find a way to get out

Sometimes I feel shackled to this house

Am I wasting my years

Choking back the tears

Flower never made it out of the drought

Has the well I've drawn from really all dried out

I never said I'd make it on my own

Lord knows I could never be alone

There's hasn't been a time

I know what's in my mind

I wouldn't really leave when the kids are grown

There's a group of men playing dominos

In front of the old Texaco

Half a mile from the graves they'll end up in

Ain't a difference between them and me

Not one that I can see

We're just running in circles

On the same dead end street
