Some Kinda Grace

Take a leaf from my book

And fill it up with some

Kindness and good cause

I took liberties

And left behind pain

But life has some kind of grace

Take me to church

Take me to court

Cause I've been sinning

And slinging the laws

But maybe God wrote

Off my wicked ways

Or life has some kind of grace

Oh but there's heaven in me

Take it from those who raised me

I wasn't born so wild or deceiving

I've done my time

And been behind bars

Now I'm a changed man

Back at the start

I took a step towards fear

You can call it courage

If it's how it appears

I'm walking free a little

Weak at the knees

Cause second chances

Are hard to receive

Now I believe I will believe

That I'm forgiven and that I am free

Though I know I don't deserve

To be given this place

But life has some kind of grace
