Christmas Wish

If I had my Christmas wish

I'd get rid of all of this

Extra stuff that don't make sense, I'd cross it off the list

Clear my calendar of stress

And find myself some quietness

For my family and my Yuletide bliss, yeah that would be my wish

Merry meals and Deck The Halls

And phone calls saying "it's been too long"

Gathered 'round the piano singing songs

Four long weeks we give and take

Hoping that the ice won't break

It's a lot of pressure to celebrate an arbitrary date

Skip that manic shopping mess

And find myself some gratefulness

While long cold nights and firesides they beckon us to rest

You might call me Scrooge McGrinch

'cause there's nothing on Christmas list

In fact, I'm hoping that we get snowed in

If I had my Christmas wish

I would make a new tradition

I'd focus less on what I'm missing
