Suddenly a stream of green

Is pulled gently

From the surface

Reaching for me

I feel myself gasp

My body freeze

And just like magic

The water copies

The moon shines brighter

I snap like a ring pull

To the night I succumb

Understanding

Washes my palms

After all of this searching

I'm finally calm

The water returns

To its freely flowing state
