The Vanishing

I hear it screaming from a thousand voices

And it talks to me in my sleep

Through the night I toss and run

My ears are bleeding from my dreams

Is the mind now lost and does it want to be found

Or is it calling out while it drowns

It's out of reach

I wake up gasping to breathe

Break of light into day

Same shaking body lays

A swallowed tongue turning inside out

Words spoke from another mouth

Cornered

I wait for the

Slaughter

Hold tight now

Harder

The cause of blood loss and time

It's cold hands pull the strings

And feeds in what tomorrow brings

With no light shining through

There's nothing left of you

I hear it screaming from a thousand voices

It will never go away

And as I have done so many times before

I will see it once again

Gods lie that heaven will save

There's not a gate above this suffering terrene

With spoken tongues you try and push it away

It's going nowhere just like all that you pray
