I've tried to go my own way/

I've tried it in my own strength/

Pretended I was okay/

When really there ain't no way/

I'm done with them old days,

Trynna act like I was open/

When really I was lost, alone,

Scared to show I'm broken/

Staying up but feeling down,

Like I was made for roller coasting/

Slandered believing old lies,

And damaged from my boasting/

Hoping to get some sleep,

But I was hammered with commotion/

Till' Your love called me by name,

And it was deeper than an ocean/

Set my feet upon The Rock,

When You pulled me from the clay/

Put a new song in my mouth, so

I'LL FOREVER SING YOUR PRAISE/

I'm no longer a dead man,

Since You rose me from the grave/

And You became my sin,

So I could no longer be enslaved/

Protected from the evil one, with ANGELS ALWAYS ALL AROUND/

What's the point of talking nice,

If I never go and walk it out/

You never sleep or slumber,

So I know You're always watching out/

That's why You're the One I'm talking to,

Instead of the one I talk about/

You gave me a second chance,

When I knew I ain't deserve it/

You showed me who I AM,

When I felt nothing more than worthless/

My sin it weighed me down,

Until I gave you all my burdens/

Steady ran in circles,

Until you told me I have purpose/

Your Love is truly beautiful,

You were never really far from me/

Your Grace was always with me,

Now I guess it's just a part of me/

I couldn't feel more lucky than if I just won the lottery/

When I trust in you it's definite,

Holy Spirit lead me,

And help me keep in step with you/

It seems you take the worst of me

But I ALWAYS GET THE BEST OF YOU/

I give you my anxieties,

You make it easy when I rest in You/

I hit my knees in surrender because really there's nothing left to do/

I'm praying for my enemies,

The ones that always talk about me/

But are silent when I come around cuz they don't want to talk around me/

Rejoicing when I'm persecuted,

Without it you're not gonna crown me/

You always give me the breath of life

Especially when I feel I'm drowning/

Show me the way I'm supposed to go/

Direct me in the path to take/

I only wanna live in overflow

Cuz I know we're in the last of days/

Heaven and earth will burn to crisp but your Word will never pass away/

With Your Spirit living within me, I can finally say at last I'm saved/

I'm not living for the applause of man,

I just want to make you famous/

Take every ounce of weakness so I can demonstrate your greatness/

With the authority of Heaven backing me up I can stomp the face of satan/

He's already been defeated,

So what's the point of being complacent/

You've already given me all I need

If you feel the need to follow me then follow me as I follow Him/

The only thing I don't wanna be is a wanna be with a lot to give/

By Your Spirit I cry Abba Father,

You're never gonna honor God,

If all you do is wanna honor men/

Just busy seeking approval from a bunch of folks that are not your friends/

Guide me into Your perfect will,

Though my filth was black as night,

You took the blame to give me Your Light within/
