The Blaze

O lucent pariah

Dweller in the muted depths

Of calcified hearts

Grant me wisdom archaic

And a resolve unrepentant, blasphemous

To soar beyond the pale

A phoenix apostate

For I cannot return

I've seen the blaze

On blood red nights

And I've wept at its wane
