The Pearl

Mother let me cry

I don't want to fight anymore

With every tear I'll weave

A chain of pearls to weather the rain and the snow

Glimmering work of art

Out of the darkness

Grain of sand straight to the heart

Let us start to feel it

Digging in the dirt

Feeling like a little girl

Remember when you're down

Out of all the mud and the muck came the pearl
