The moon burned bright on the platform that night
Near the twinkling tracks of mimico station
I heard the soft music of the silence in the air
playing sweet solace, for all creation
It's dark out in this part but out in the distance
The lights flicker shutting on and off in time
And I'm hit with a sudden realization
Of a light from a train gliding in down the line
The train takes me out of the twilight, of mimico station
Past the towers that loom in the night
Homeward bound I'm sure to be heading
Away from all those starry city lights
