I needed some time,

I needed a day,

I needed to put the grim in a box

And put that box away.

I needed to climb

Into my bed,

Cocoon myself up until I emerge

Ready for the world again.

Now I’m just laying here alone,

Wondering just how long a good rest should go on

I’d rather be sleeping but I’m staring at the wall.

I should be sleeping, but I’m wide awake.

I imagine my yard is covered in slugs,
