Spring Equinox

Early this morning I lay awake

Watching the full moon fading away

Into a flower field of Marigold

Above my the sky is purple and blue

Sunlight my eyes are waiting for you

I've fallen so cold that moment the world turned a feverish gold

Remember these fields were once covered in snow

It melted away like you left months ago

I crave your freezing cold hands from winter

There goes my heart

Knew it would end from the start

I smell the roses and die

This spring I dwell on winter's cruel goodbye

Where you have gone the flowers have bloomed

Distant I share this moment with you

I hope the wind will send you all my love

A peak of the sun shines tender and dim

I feel its heat crawl under my skin

The cold dark wintertime is gone
