Hopped on his horse

Trail rode to the creek

Stopped beneath a weeping willow tree

Hoisted his rope

Gave his pal one last kiss

Dug his spur in his side, ride of fiery left a trail of sin

Chill in the air

Calmness in the sky

Lost life hangin’ on a limb

His soul joins heavens most high
