Wasting Time

I'm starting to feel old though I'm only thirty-two

My hair is getting thinner and I cannot pay my dues

The old friends are getting married everybody's bearing kids

Simon has lost his father the belt I wear was his

And though I got a girl and we're together for a while

We still don't give it up cause I'm addicted to get high

My mother is still worried and probably she's right

Cause though I've tried a dozen times I just don't get off of it

And sometimes I forgot to be aware of what I got

Maybe it's because I tend to smoke a lot

A stranger put a thought in my unpremeditated ear
