you move like dust when you hang around

and rarely settle or still

the constant movement, it served me well

to shake you off when you did

that gave us something to think about

what does it mean to forgive someone

and never see them again?

to hope they’re happy and wish them well

but wish that you never met

i close my eyes and see

the places i thought i’d left

the faces i can’t forget

but how will you know how it tastes if you don’t
