we built a home.

so we could hide in a safe space

and like it, we were hit

by storms and hurricanes

and things so hard to tame.

And side by side we lay dreaming,

of places we would go.

like planted roots under ceiling,

that leaves no room to grow.

so, always climb in vain

but intertwined remain.
