Guardian

Awakening from the darkest of dreams

Confined within ancient stone walls

Before me lies a creature shackled by chains

Rise from a perilous fall

Esoteric markings cover my flesh

Mysteries begin to unfold

Magnificent powers this beast will possess

To breach new horizons untold

Shatter talismans that invoke the fear

Mount the ruin stones to persevere

Crush the armored wraiths, furious might

Enchantments diminish

Begin to take flight

A gryphon corrupted by wicked possession

Attacks the benevolent beast

Battle ensuing between the mammoths

Leaving us nearly deceased

Approach the citadel piercing the sky

Hoards of knights twisted with rage

Into the fortress concealing the menace

The Master of the Valley

Swarms of hellions closing in

Transfixed hatred against their own kin

Break the bars guarding the master

With remaining strength

We escape

Begin a life anew

Free from the shackles

The guardian's heart still beats true
