Terminal Condition

Hard to speak comforting words when you lack a spine

Hard to think unclouded thoughts when you're online

And you smile

We both know that we're caught in a cage where all aims go to die

Start a fire

Block the hose

Keep it burning

Keep reversing

Skip procedures

Start a war

Keep the lights out in a life that I long to escape

I want out

I want further up the chain

Keep your guard up, hopes down low

Message flawed

Flood all systems

Hold your posture

Precarious thing

Learned a lot about who to listen to

But I fail to see it's a terminal condition

Little sisters and me. It's a drag on mere existence that I long to escape

Only closure that I yearn to attain

And I long to ignore

That's a lesson coming easy

We're both so full of dissent

And we don't know how to handle it

Spelling out all of our distaste

By the time we die, we've died alone
