Here comes December’s

Hint of winter,

Christmas is getting so close.

Congratulations,

Salutations,

It’s been a good year as years tend to go.

But I wish it would snow.

Through the windows,

The trees glow.

There are carolers just down the road.

Children are singing,

Jingle bells ringing,

I sing along with every note.

But i wish it would snow.

All the lights are on,

Everyone’s coming home.

From down the street; across the state.

Kids with sleepy eyes,

Say hello and then goodnight.

While the rest of us stay up way too late.

Every family,

Is a mystery.

We’re the same and yet somehow we’ve changed.

So I raise a glass to us all

While the kids laugh down the hall,

And the weatherman’s calling for rain.
