New Years Resolution

Promise to read all the books that you have lent me

Learning how to cook too

Find a new way to shed old versions of myself for you

You know what I've gone through

But enough of me, you get the clue

That I have reasons, one's I don't choose

When it's all said and done

I'm not equipped to soundtrack, the times

Won't stop me from trying

So pardon the shift in tone

Heaven's overcrowded

Maybe next year won't be that much like this year
