Girl By The Sea

Living in a cottage, very near the sea

There is a girl, lovely as can be

I go and see her, everyday

We walk along the sands

And taking our shoes off we run along

Running holding hands

The breeze from the sea, blows her hair into her face

The gods from the sky, lead us to a hidden place

There we are happy, there we may stay

Watching the waves crash ashore

Wishing that we could always be

Here forever alone

A chill in the air, a darkening of the skies

The tide creeping in, to the sound of seagull cries

Tells us it's time, now to go home

To leave dreamy dreams behind

Then making are way back, along the sands

And thinking on the next time

We reach the cottage, beneath the dark sky

Stars and the moon, seem to shine within her eyes

Morning will soon, be here with the sun

Fresh ripples on, the sand

When evening comes, together again
