Friday afternoon I'm writing remedies for the rain

Wonder why do all these flowers handle so much pain

For I have never been one for those darker coloured roses

No they hurt my skin

Didn't know some loves worth suffering

So I begged Cupid

For at least a second chance

But he shot me with his arrow and I learned how to dance

I fell slow

For someone that I hardly know

Cobbled thoughts and basement talks have never felt the same

Still just chasing our own tales

Not knowing what blame

For I have never been one who could pull the trigger blindly

I'd just blame myself

Lord knows I could never ask for help

But I asked Cupid

Whatcha know about romance

But he shot me with his arrow and I didn't stand a chance

But he didn't know

Guess I'll have to watch this love grow

And Cupid told me

One of his friends flew into the sun

Once his wings were burning

He knew his time on earth was done

He fell down

Nobody turned around

So I said Cupid

Why even bother with love

He said I've spoken to Venus

And all the Gods above

They said to stay
