Trail of Tears

My soul burns, stumbling down pinyon trails, far from home

When the seasons turn is the past worth remembering

Should I walk alone ?

And a thousand thoughts and feelings rush in

All around this broken heart with heavy chains

There's a trail of tears along this highway

If I had wings, I'd surely fly away
