I went down to the river

Below the mountain chain

I looked up at the stormy sky

As it began to rain

I swam across to a sturdy rock

Thought of you as I climbed atop

The sun prevailed and the clouds broke up

I heard her singing as the rain stopped

Are you feeling that breeze?

Drift through the trees?

Are you feeling that free?

Ahh

I went down beneath the water

I was seeking out the truth

When I arose she was standing there

Belting out that tune

She took my palm into her hands

We drifted off to distant lands

From mountain seas to desert sands

Magic too great to understand
