Downpour

Once I had hope

I used to have this sense of belonging

It’s easy to see how forgotten years could be our last

I’ll remain on the outside and let the world unwind

Time for us to see the decay in you and me

When I’m all alone I see so clearly it just seems to haunt me

Secrets are safe with death

In the shadows I find comfort in the downpour of light
