Take me in,

into the summer haze

pull me closer,

smile across your face

the line is right (?)

the reasons are wrong

seasons pushing

pushing us along

we are sailors searching for a storm

we are civilians looking for a war and

there are several warnings to ignore

there'll be time to second guess

for now it's just the two of us

take me into the garden wild

breathe it in, rest a little while

morning's harsh light will come

tomorrow we can ponder what we've done

we are tinder begging for a fire

we are anchors trying to get higher
