Another simple mind, working 9-5

seven days a weeks, he's barely making ends meet,

working paycheck to paycheck

just to pay the rent

Money saved is already money spent.

Facing a fallen nation,

Where poverty is on the rise,

Violence and racial hatred

make way to a million lies.

Too many kids are slayed to lie in early graves,

put down by gun shots they're outlined in white chalk,

the nation turns its back and it don't see

They're wiping away all their bad memories.

Another battered mom and we let this go on,

when will we see that something is very wrong

but we close our eyes and we pretend that somehow
