The trains used to run here in the glory days

When copper was as good as gold

The mine shafts are closed and diggers are all gone

I dreamed I was shot down over Saigon

That Huey still shaking in my bones

Captured in a paddy field by the Vietcong

I made it through the badlands and the war zone
