Bump in the Night

Take me to the house where floor boards shake

A monstrous force, a pressing weight,

feel a cold breeze wash over my face,

Terrifying screams, saturate.

a rush of blood and my mind runs free,

is anybody there? can anybody hear me?

my throat goes dry and my eyes dilate,

left in the darkness to hallucinate

I close my eyes make a circle of light,

the air I can see, this room is alive.

I take a hard slap right across my face,

pinned to the wall in a violent rage,

hands reach up try to pull me down,

bury me here in the consecrated ground,

I find myself in a weakened state,

is this is it? No escape.

Take a little time get the story straight,

can't stop the press, the press won't wait.

Shiver to my bones as I tell this tale,

fire in my belly, my skin so pale.

No one will believe these things that I see,

take away the fear, hit me with the vaccine.

I wash myself in the pouring rain,

my poor heart will never be the same.

before I close my eyes at night I'm terrified,

science says its all in the mind,

they should've let me know,
