Till you serve the turkey and the candied yams

And there must be minced pie and some dandied hams

Bashful, set the table, Happy, stir the soup

Everyone's so able (What a kind and helpful group)

I'll go start the muffins (I'll go string the trees au peas)

And Sneezy, in the kitchen, please remember not to sneeze

Christmas Eve dinner, and you won't get much thinner

From the fluffy, puffy stuffing or the bread

The Christmas cookies that you sneak to bed

All through Christmas Even dinner, while the candles glimmer

You can see the gifts beneath the Christmas tree

I'm so happy, I could cry (They're all for me)

Help yourself to seconds, soon the yams are gone

Just a slice of ham (For me to put the gravy on)

When the leg of lamb's so juicy (And the goose is oh, so goosey)

Tell me, what can the excuse be not to eat, eat, eat?

When the Yorkshire pudding's bubbly, it just makes you want it doubly

But you might just find it troubling eating with your feet

I'm done with dinner, and that makes me the winner

Every dish is finished (And my hands are quashed, uh, washed)

I even ate my spinach (And I creamed the squash)

I've cleaned off the hambone (See, I've licked my plate)

And Sleepy woke up just in time to eat the whole fruitcake

Who are you calling fruitcake?

All the pudding's gone, you see (Could I be excused? Oh)

The missing goose, no mystery (No gifts will be refused)

Oh, all right, I guess you can open them now
