She is young and he modern, she comes from a time forgotten

He strives for things we hate, believes machines will liberate

The class is un-escaped, folks of family berate

While they make up drink to drown sorrows or our salvation

In their little country church

She throws a ball, we dressed up

Dance 'til the moon and sun swap

Eventually our father came

Swung old shutters back again

Revealing party clothes

Draped across their dining hall

And feeling heathen we crept past

Ancestors hanging on the walls

Mostly stay behind the scenes
