Seattle's Western Centuries touch on all aspects of American roots music, from country, bluegrass, and folk to R&B and classic rock. Comprised of a cadre of distinctive songwriters and instrumentalists, the group issued their debut LP, Weight of the World, in 2016. They continued to refine their sound on 2018's Songs from the Deluge, which added elements of blues, Western swing, and honky tonk to their sonic arsenal. 2023's Call the Captain saw the band team up with Grammy-nominated producer Bill Reynolds for a topical and timeless set of songs that picked up the threads of multiple roots music subgenres.
