Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In elementary school, I created a band with a group of friends. I created a poster and asked our school to audition for a part in the band. The band itself was short lived. However, my love for music and writing prospered.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chance the Rapper, Acid Rap Childish Gambino, Because the Internet Mac Miller, GO:OD AM These three albums were important to my formative years. In addition, I took inspiration from each musician. Mac Miller has had a huge impact on my musical journey, in terms of continuous growth and experimentation.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Scars” "Scars" is incredibly important to me. I wrote it from the perspective of a close friend. They were comfortable to share their story with me and their scars from self-harm. Thus, I wrote the song to honor them and their story.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment in my music career so far was having my song, "Scars" reach a hundred thousand streams. I could not believe that many people resonated with the song and the message. Especially since it reached so many places in the world.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to tour my music across Canada. Meeting new people and performing music full-time sounds amazing to me. Especially as an Indigenous person who was stuck on a reservation for half of my life.
