In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Our first musical memory as a band was playing for our first time together at an our favorite little local art festival. It was like a backyard party, with all the right ingredients and we jammed like the night would never end. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Grateful Dead, Grateful Dead
Steely Dan, A Decade of Steely Dan (Remastered) (Gold Disc Version)
The Flying Burrito Brothers, Hot Burritos! The Flying Burrito Brothers Anthology (1969 - 1972)
This Grateful Dead self titled release is a favorite of ours for its raw early psychedelic inventions. It’s gritty and frenetic at times. The Flying Burrito Brothers are a huge influence on our twang. Anything by Steely Dan is just sublime. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Toketee Breakdown”
We love Toketee Breakdown as it was kind of the impetus for starting our record, “Callithump Parade”.
It came together really naturally and we’re so happy with the way the groove turned out. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Our album release party in our hometown was one of our most memorable moments as a band so far! The joy and love the community brought out to celebrate our first album release was truly inspiring.
The psychedelic liquid lite show was a highlight too Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
There’s still so many places we wanna go and play and so many songs we want to write and release.
