In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I heard Tinariwen when I lived close to the Algerian border. It came on cassettes. Every now and then, a guy would come in his car and he had a cassette player in the car and we would listen. Later on I had my own radio cassette player.
