The Puerto Rican pop boy-band sensation Son By Four made a huge splash in the Latin music scene when the title track of their 2000 release, PUREST OF PAIN, broke all Latin chart records, spending almost an entire year on the Latin Singles chart, hogging the #1 position for an astonishing 20 weeks. The band consisted of brothers George and Javier Montes, their cousin Pedro Quiles, and singer Angel Lopez. In the aftermath of their breakout success, Lopez was replaced by Luis Damon.
