Showtek is a Dutch sibling EDM duo that’s dabbled in various subgenres while scoring international hits with some of the biggest names in electronic music.
• Brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen began releasing singles as Showtek in 2001 and dropped their debut album, Today Is Tomorrow in 2007.
• Their focus has always been producing. They only began DJing because their music started selling well, and that led to offers to play clubs.
• Showtek hit their stride with the siren synths and pounding four-on-the-floor style of Dutch house. Their 2013 hits “Booyah” and “We Like To Party” typify that sound.
• The brothers have a regular collaborator in David Guetta. They’ve paired with the French EDM superstar on numerous singles, including the 2014 international smash “Bad.”
Members of Showtek include, or have included, Wouter Janssen and SJOERD JANSSEN.
