As both a solo artist and the lead singer of Creed, Scott Stapp has achieved great success. At the turn of the millennium, he was arguably the biggest rock singer in the United States, with Creed's first three albums all going platinum many times over. Creed splintered in 2004, and Stapp soon launched a solo career with a platinum debut, The Great Divide. The group reunited in 2009 but once again went their separate ways a few years later. Stapp released a second solo album called Proof of Life in 2013, before publicly spiraling into addiction and mental health struggles. On his road to recovery, he returned with a redemptive third album, 2019's The Space Between the Shadows, and the assured and reflective Higher Power appeared in 2024.
Scott Stapp has also released music as a member of Creed and Art of Anarchy.
